In July, the Mother’s Union Group organised an open meeting in the Church Room, when the Rev. Tessa Holland came to speak about the Quiet Garden Movement. This is a world wide movement in which some members have offered their homes and gardens for occasional days of stillness and reflection. The primary vision of the Quiet Garden Movement is to initiate and resource a network of local opportunities for prayer, silence, reflection and the appreciation of beauty; for learning about Christian life and spirituality; and for experiencing creativity and healing in the context of God’s Love.
Tessa opens her garden and house in Storrington once a month to all those who require some space and time apart. In June, 6 members of our Mother’s Union spent a quiet and peaceful morning with her there in her interesting garden and ended with a time of meditation.
