The Mothers Union group in Partridge Green, though small, is part of the world-wide organisation which has existed for 125 years to promote stable family life and help for families in need. We meet monthly on the 1st Tuesday of the month at Hookshile, Church Road at 7.30pm.
Our programme is varied with some serious meetings, some more light hearted and usually two visits a year to the HAODS productions in Horsham. Our meetings are open to anyone of any age, and you would be most welcome to join us. Heather Bird [711875], Mabel Morgan [711081], Margaret Norgrove [711096].
West Grinstead and Partridge Green Mothers Union is part of the Chichester Diocese Mothers Union – information about which can be found on www.chichestermu.org. This in turn is part of the world wide organisation whose website is www.themothersunion.org.
There are 3.6million members world wide in 78 countries whose aim is to promote and support family life.

The Ploughman’s Lunch we provided for the Parish Lunch Club in August was a great success – it is always popular with the members. We raised £114 of which half goes to Branch Funds and Half to ‘Away from it all’ holidays for disadvantaged families.
Following on from an appeal from Headquarters for the Relief Fund for vital work M.U. does in war torn areas of Africa, we had a collection and sent £50.
The talk given by Di Holman on her experiences in WW2 was extremely interesting and made more so by the photos she brought along.
We visited the Henfield Theatre in October to see “Shadowlands” by William Nicholson. This was the true story of the later life of C.S.Lewis. It was a difficult play to stage but was very well done and made us think about the meaning of Suffering and a God of Love.
Our meetings are held most months on the first Tuesday at 7.30pm at Mapleleaf, Church Lane. All are welcome. Contact Heather (710875), Mabel (711081) or Margaret (711096)
